The following modules are broken down into content-specific subtopics that reflect the core information in the unit.
Within each subtopic, five headings are used to frame your participation and practice:
Reflect - This will ask you to reflect on your previous education or lived experiences, laying the groundwork that reinforces the need or relevance of the current topic. This heading will ask you a range of questions to reflect on, and you may find it helpful to note your answers in a journal or Word document.
Content-specific topics – Each subtopic will contain a content-specific heading. This is the main theoretical or practical content of the unit.
Plan – This will ask you to participate in practical activities that apply the content found in the specific topic. This may include completing projects for action or filling in resources to assist the implementation of the content in real-world scenarios.
Act – Will give you ideas on how to implement the subtopic content in a real-world context and make recommendations for practising the skills or actions described.
Review – It is encouraged that you review your engagement with the content in addition to your successes and challenges. Each review heading prompts you to journal or record your participation and progress. Under each review heading, you will find guiding questions to aid your reflection.
Units may also ask you to engage with various media, including videos, pictures, audio, spreadsheets, resources and other interactive materials.
To get the most out of these units, I recommend you engage with each subheading and complete all activities to assist in understanding and practical application of the content.
