Cornerstone School was founded on the premise of parent/guardian/family participation. To read more about their participation model, please visit the school's website to view their Mission Statement.
Cornerstone's parent/guardian/family participation model hinges on volunteers, lovingly referred to as Teaching Parents, or TPs. To read more about this collaborative model and what it consists of, please visit the school's Participation and Philosophy webpage.
Cornerstone School is open to all elementary students enrolled in the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District (PVPUSD), regardless of zone, through a transfer request and lottery. Please visit PVPUSD's Enrollment page to view enrollment instructions and procedures, including eligibility for military families, and eligibility for students whose grandparents reside within, or whose parents work within PVPUSD boundaries.
Because Cornerstone is a school of choice and not a home school, families looking to attend must apply for an INTRAdistrict transfer. Please see below.
Once enrolled in PVPUSD, families can request an INTRAdistrict transfer. Placement at Cornerstone is determined via a random lottery conducted by the District. Please visit the PVPUSD website's INTRAdistrict Transfer Page to find more information on when and how to apply.
Thank you for virtually touring the school. For more information, please visit Cornerstone School's website, or see their contact information below:
