Fun times in second grade include the following:
Immigration Day is an immersive, expansive event where students are assigned the identity of a real person who immigrated to the states and landed at Ellis Island. They dress up, board a ship, and go through various stations and hurdles manned by TPs, such as registration, medical examinations, and legal inspections. At the end of the day, they are rewarded with a "Welcome to America" party.
Seasonal and holiday shows are performed for family and friends several times a year.
A gingerbread house decorating party, and a latke tasting party are hosted in the MPR.
Students travel on a field trip with their class.
