Scroll through to see some highlights of performing arts, special events, and hands-on learning made possible by Cornerstone's dedicated staff and parent volunteers.
Fun times in kindergarten include the following:
Heritage Dolls project: students create and present about their own heritage and ancestry, showing their doll that they have dressed in traditional clothing.
Students perform at seasonal and holiday shows several times a year, such as the Winter Holiday Show, and the Mother's Day Fashion Show.
Performing Arts is very important at Cornerstone, helping to foster confidence and creativity. Kindergarteners perform a play every year, such as Goldilocks and The Jungle Book in years past.
Snail Circus: hands-on experiments, such as determining if snails can walk a tightrope or hang upside down are performed by the kindergarteners, as they practice making and testing their own predictions.
Native American Day: students create and play drums, learn about traditional fishing, foraging, and have the chance to try buffalo jerky among other immersive experiences.
Students get to travel on a field trip with their class.
