"Stay away from da voodoo."
The Witch Doctor is an ancient and deep-seated aspect of troll culture in Azeroth. Witch Doctors use terrible voodoo magic, wards and potions to great effect in their vile rituals. In recent times, the Darkspear trolls have shared their tradition with the Orcs of the Horde, indoctrinating them into the voodoo arts to better combat the Alliance.
The Witch Doctor is a Horde only class.
Curse your enemies with shadowy hexes and invoke the dark Loa Spirits.
Brew potions and poisons to heal and protect allies, destroy enemies, and invoke benevolent Loa Spirits.
Stalk your enemies in the shadows and engage them with your weapons, invoking Loa Spirits to quickly take out foes.
Witch Doctors can be played in many ways, but there are central themes that will cross over all kinds of builds.
Witch Doctors are capable of casting an array of curses in the form of Hexes. Additionally, they can brew different kinds of potions and elixirs to aid themselves and their allies, throw down wards, and use serpentine Nature magic to poison their enemies.
Witch Doctors use a Loa Invocation system, wherein certain abilities linked to specific Loa will invoke said Loa, granting you 1 stack of its Invocation buff (i.e. Invocation of Bwonsamdi). Each subsequent time you invoke the same Loa, you will gain an additional stack of the Invocation buff as well as an additional effect based on which Loa you invoke. If you Invoke a different Loa, it will remove all current Invocation stacks and replace them with 1 stack of the new Loa's Invocation buff. Reaching 5 Invocation stacks of a single Loa allows you to perform a very strong additional effect.
Witch Doctors can also take the path of the Shadow Hunter, allowing them to enter close quarters combat and strike down enemies with hexed weapons, using the power of the Loa to strengthen and sustain you.
