Reaper

Theme

Reapers are warriors who have come upon a dark and hungry spirit trapped inside a scythe. Before his fall, the Lich King ordered his servants to imprison the most demented of the souls within Frostmourne into a series of enchanted scythes, and scatter them throughout Azeroth for unsuspecting adventurers to stumble upon. In time, they did, and the Lich King's plan unfolded. Many of these Reapers heard his call, and traveled North at all costs to Icecrown to meet with their new master. Some, however, remained somewhat in control of their bodies and resisted the call of the scourge. Still, though, they could not let the Hungering Scythes go. There is too much power held within such a weapon. These 'free' Reapers fight for their own factions, constantly at odds with the hungry spirits that torment them, but grant them immense power.

Ability Schools

Reaping

Siphon life from your enemies with a large, two-handed scythe or spend your life to destroy them.

Soul

Collect the souls of fallen enemies to unleash devastating shadow magics, or skulk through the shadows with dual scytheblades, striking down unsuspecting enemies with ghostly precision.

Domination

Weaken enemies and sustain yourself with dark protection magic to defend your allies from harm.

Gameplay

All weapons equipped by a Reaper are transformed into scythes. Reapers are highly focused on spending and stealing health - their more powerful damage abilities will consume a percentage of their maximum health, and a number of their other abilities will steal health from enemies to heal the Reaper.

Some of the Reaper's abilities will also have a 'Soul Infusion' effect. This effect triggers only when you have the maximum amount of Reaped Souls stacked, and consumes them all in the process.

Reaped Souls

Some abilities will generate Reaped Souls; you will also generate one whenever you kill an enemy. Reaped Souls are a powerful resource that you can consume to unleash dark magics, or activate Soul Infusion effects as described above.
