The teacher understands strategies for creating an organized and productive learning environment and for managing student behavior.
I chose this as my first artifact because it aids in managing student behavior. I have seen where teachers have designated a spot for students to regulate their emotions before they turn into disruptive behavior. Students can identify when they are getting overstimulated and the feelings causing them to feel that way. I also like how once a student identifies their emotion. They have a set of actions that will help them regulate their feelings and prepare them to join the class.
I chose this as my second artifact because it revolves around group work. It allows the children to collaborate together and establish responsibilities. Group work allows for diverse perspectives, critical thinking, and conflict resolution.
