The teacher understands student diversity and knows how to plan learning experiences and design assessments that are responsive to differences among students and that promote all student's learning

I chose the demographic portion to get to know your CT and spelling words in Spanish for second grade.  Having a class demographic is essential to promote equity and inclusion and helps the teacher understand the backgrounds of the students.  Knowledge of different cultural backgrounds will help teachers provide relatable content. For my second artifact, I chose a list of spelling words that have been translated into Spanish. I work with a bilingual teacher, and she provides as much instruction as possible in the student's primary language to help promote comprehension and increase confidence.
