Roles and functions

Entendemos por “Rol” la tarea que se asigna a cada alumno dentro del grupo y que ha de desarrollar para un buen funcionamiento de este.
By “Role” we understand the task that is assigned to each student within the group and that he/she has to develop for a good functioning of the group.

Los roles se asignan para verificar que esa tarea queda cubierta y hay un responsable, pero no será la única tarea que el participante tiene que hacer, pues debe coordinarse en todo momento con sus compañeros.
Roles are assigned to verify that the task is covered and that there is a person in charge, but it will not be the only task that the participant has to do, as he/she must coordinate at all times with his/her peers.

Cada equipo distribuye sus roles internamente.
Each team distributes its roles internally.

• COORDINADOR/A: Encargado/a de coordinar y orientar el desarrollo de la actividad. Encargado/a de hacer la entrega del trabajo/producto final. Se preocupa por verificar que el equipo asuma sus responsabilidades individuales y de grupo. Se encarga de repartir tareas y de mediar en caso de conflicto. Coordina (sabe qué hay que hacer en cada momento), dirige (el trabajo del grupo), anima (al equipo a seguir trabajando), comprueba (que todos realicen su tarea).
  COORDINATOR: Responsible for coordinating and guiding the development of the activity. In charge of delivering the final work/product. Concerned with verifying that the team assumes its individual and group responsibilities. In charge of distributing tasks and mediating in case of conflict. Coordinates (knows what needs to be done at all times), directs (the work of the group), encourages (the team to continue working), checks (that everyone is doing their task).

• PORTAVOZ: Responsable de la comunicación entre los miembros del equipo de trabajo y del equipo docente. Será el/la que transmitirá y se comunicará con los profesores. Puede realizar tareas de motivación para optimizar el trabajo del grupo.
  SPOKESPERSON: Responsible for the communication between the members of the work team and the teaching team. He/she will be the one who will transmit and communicate with the teachers. He/she can perform motivational tasks to optimize the work of the group.

• SECRETARIO/A: Se encarga de hacer las actas de reunión donde deben reflejarse todas las incidencias y funcionamiento del grupo. Responsable de recopilar, sistematizar y consolidar las aportaciones para la construcción del trabajo colaborativo. Responsable de registrar todos los procesos de forma escrita. Recopila y sintetiza la información para facilitar el trabajo final. Encargado/a de redactar actas de las reuniones. Toma nota de las aportaciones del grupo. Organiza las reuniones de equipo.
  SECRETARY: Responsible for taking the minutes of the meetings where all the incidents and functioning of the group must be reflected. Responsible for compiling, systematizing and consolidating the contributions for the construction of the collaborative work. Responsible for recording all processes in written form. Gathers and synthesizes information to facilitate the final work. Responsible for writing minutes of the meetings. Takes note of the group's contributions. Organizes team meetings.

• VIGÍA DEL TIEMPO: Debe velar por el aprovechamiento adecuado y ordenado del tiempo en el grupo. Es el/la responsable de controlar el desarrollo de las actividades conforme al cronograma establecido dentro de las fechas propuestas. Controla el cronograma de tiempo establecido y es responsable de que el equipo realice el trabajo en el tiempo pactado. Gestiona el tiempo en las reuniones de equipo.
  TIME KEEPER: He/she must ensure that the group's time is used appropriately and in an orderly fashion. He/she is responsible for controlling the development of the activities according to the established schedule within the proposed dates. Controls the established time schedule and is responsible for ensuring that the team performs the work within the agreed time. Manages time management in team meetings.

• INVESTIGADOR & PROVEEDOR DE MATERIALES: Responsable de conseguir y proponer materiales (libros, artículos, enlaces a webs, mapas, videoclips, películas, etc.) y herramientas pertinentes para nutrir el trabajo colaborativo. Indica y sugiere herramientas relacionadas con el tema (editores de vídeo, de subtítulos, etc.).
  RESEARCHER & MATERIALS PROVIDER: Responsible for obtaining and proposing relevant materials (books, articles, weblinks, maps, videoclips, films, etc.) and tools to nurture the collaborative work. Indicates and suggests tools related to the topic (video editors, subtitle editors, etc.).

• INTERNAUTA: se hace cargo de todas las tareas del grupo que tiene que ver con la informática, aspectos técnicos, el montaje, etc.
  INTERNAUT: takes care of all the group's tasks related to information technologies, technical aspects, assembly, etc.
