Episode Description: Dr. Ivy Ewell Eldridge chats with Central Michigan University professor and author, Troy Hicks, a super advocate of ways to teach and enhance the process of writing through the use of digital tools. He encourages educators to nurture our students’ curiosity, openness, flexibility, persistence, engagement, and responsibility as they engage in the writing process.
Troy Hicks began his education career as a middle school language arts teacher. He has been at Central Michigan University for 13 years. He started in the English department and is currently in teacher education and professional development. He directs the Triple R River writing project and works with literacy, new literacies, and digital literacies, and technology.
