Bio

After receiving the honor of teacher of the year in 2016, Melanie began the idea of a collaborative environment where teachers can connect and learn from one another. Melanie's "idea" and passion to engage educators led to the creation of Educators Connecting Educators, which is a platform created for teachers to share best practices with one another. The vision for Educators Connecting Educators is to empower educators to be the best they can be and create an environment where educators, from all avenues of education, can learn and grow from one another in a safe space. One way Educators Connecting Educators creates this opportunity is through Edcamps, which is known as the "unconference." You can find opportunities to participate at Edcamps all over the country.

Presently, Melanie works for Riverside County Office of Education as an Induction Facilitator.
