About the Creators

Kate Jackson has been a Language Arts teachers for over 16 years. She works in Curriculum and Instruction at Corona-Norco Unified School District as a Teacher on Assignment for Secondary Literacy and is the proud mother of two energetic and inquisitive boys. When not working or mothering, she loves to read, take walks, and listen to podcasts. Her husband is the sound editor of CNUSDEdChat.

Annemarie Cortez has been working in public school education since 2006. She has taught both primary and upper grades and currently serves as a literacy instructional coach for the Corona-Norco Unified School District. Annemarie is a member of Claremont Graduate University's General Education Advisory Council and works as an adjunct professor for CGU, University of LaVerne, and Chapman University's MACI program. She enjoys spending quality time with her amazing husband and two boys. If Annemarie should ever go missing, you might want to check the local coffee shop, library, or wine bar before you call the authorities.

Many moons ago, and with very little experience, Ivy Ewell-Eldridge was hired as a first grade teacher in Los Angeles directly following the completion of her undergraduate degree. (God bless those who were in her first class!) Dr. Eldridge has served students, families, and teachers in California's public schools for over 20 years now. She has operated as a Teacher on Assignment in Curriculum and Instruction, and is currently an Assistant Principal, Supervisor of Teacher Education, and adjunct professor for UC Riverside's Graduate School of Education. In her spare time, she provides professional development for various school districts through the Riverside County Office of Education and the Center for Culturally Proficient Education Practice. Ivy is an Edu-mom of three inquisitive teens, the wife of a venture capitalist, & guardian of three crazy dogs.
