Kindergarteners learn from Mr. Branton, a neighbor and farmer, about his responsibilities and how farm equipment works.

Kindergarteners learn from Jacob Stepp, from Alpha Waste and Disposal, about the responsibilities of sanitation workers and how to recycle and take care of the environment.

1st Graders interact with Katherine McKofsky, Zoologist at the Dever Zoo.

1st Graders participate in virtual presentation from Meteorologist, Colleen Stauss.

2nd graders learn from local mayor, Mr. Matt Santini, about his responsibilities in city government.

2nd graders learn from Katie Martin, from UGA Extension and Keep Bartow Beautiful, about the role of pollinators and creating and maintaining green spaces in the community.

3rd grade students choose a STEM career to research. They create a presentation to share what they learn with their classmates.

Students learn from Gracie Jordan of UGA Extension and Keep Bartow Beautiful about how students can be part of the solution to pollution in our own community. She shares about how citizens participate in Rivers Alive and the Great Lake Allatoona Cleanup every year to clean up our rivers, lake and surrounding areas, and discusses careers tied to environmental studies.

4th Graders participate in an interactive presentation from Mr. Forsyth, Manager of City of Cartersville Water Department. They learn about the process the City takes to treat water from Lake Allatoona for drinking and the role the local dam plays in our water system.

4th graders participate in a virtual presentation from Mr. McPherson, a NASA employee who works with ISS payloads. They then research other space-related careers.

Anna Clark, Bartow County Schools Nutrition Specialists, speaks with 5th graders about nutrition, wellness plans, and her career. Students create their own wellness plans. 

Kaleigh Hendrix, owner of Rock Fitness, speaks to 5th graders about healthy lifestyle choices, including sleep and screen time, and increasing fitness levels

Andrea Hines, Georgia Tech Food and Nutrition Scientist, speaks to fifth graders about how food label guidelines are set for the food industry.

Camden Wallace, Georgia Power, speaks to fifth graders about his career as an Electrical Engineer, Georgia Power's electrical grid, and how circuits work.
