2nd graders research the importance of pollinators. They come up with a plan to increase the number of pollinators at CLES based on data they collect.
2nd graders investigate patterns of the sun and moon, observing phases of the moon and the impact of the sun's location in the sky on shadows.
3rd graders identify that waste is a significant issue on our school campus. Through organized campus walks, they investigate the waste around our school and create graphs with the data they collect. Together, they work on solutions to minimize waste at CLES.
Resident Expert Research Presentation
4th graders research what can and cannot be composted in residential compost bins for our school gardens. They also research the efficiency of various collection systems.
Students work through a series of activities and labs related to digestion and physical and chemical changes.
Students research how different landforms are formed, either through constructive or destructive processes. They write an argument about how a chosen landform is created using the CER process.
