Reflection of light = Energy transformation
Light is a form of energy. When sunlight hits the CD, the energy from the sunlight is transferred to the CD, and then the CD reflects it onto the wall. This demonstrates how energy can be transferred from one object to another through reflection.
WIND TURBINES
We introduced students wind turbines to teach renewable energy sources. Before hand-on activity they learned Wind turbines turn the kinetic energy of the wind into mechanical energy through the rotation of the blades.
Wind turbines provide a real-world example of energy efficiency—how a natural force can be captured and transformed into usable energy.
Students prepared their own wind turbines and they understand that wind turbines depends on factors such as wind speed, turbine size, and technology
WATER MILLS
We prepared water mills with waste materials to teach water is a renewable resource. We highlight the concept of efficient use of water which we need for agriculture, energy production and in daily life.
DROPPIE
DROPPIE is an English story and activity book written by our school’s English teacher Mine Üye.Droppie is a drop of water and the book is about Droppie’s adventures to find clean water and she teaches students how to use water. On World Water Day our drama club performs drama show of Droppie to the whole school.
