Mini Lesson (30-45 minutes)

• Before watching the video (ASL Version) and looking at the PowerPoint slides, fill out the first column (What I Know) and second column (What I Wonder), if can, in your KWL Chart

• Watch the video and look at the PowerPoint slides. During watching the video and looking at the PowerPoint slides, fill out the second column (What I Wonder) in your KWL Chart

• After completing the video and PowerPoint slides, finish filling out the third column (What I Learned) in your KWL Chart. Next, find five sources online to fill in your Quadrant Worksheet to practice detecting the difference between credible/non-credible sources and fact/opinion

• Then, split up in four groups and discuss your KWL Chart. You and your group members are to create a poster about your assigned topic (i.e. credible source, non-credible source, fact, opinion). These posters will be helpful for you to remember by while researching about different topics on climate change throughout the curriculum

• For additional practice on fact and opinion, you will be given a Fact or Opinion Worksheet
