Welcome to Cindel Portuguese Water Dogs!

Cindel Portuguese Water Dogs is located in SE Wisconsin near West Bend. Our kennel name was created from the first three letters of my first name and the first three letters of my last name. We are a small kennel that strives to produce puppies that are sound in body and mind and who match closely to the breed standard. Our dogs enjoy competing in Conformation, Obedience, Agility, Scent Work, Barn Hunt, Fast CAT, and Tricks.

Portuguese Water Dogs are very smart and have lots of energy. As a working breed, they need a job to keep their minds occupied. Whether you enjoy outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, or running, or you are more into sports such as agility, water trials, dock diving, or tracking, these dogs may be the perfect fit. Portuguese Water Dogs love to be with their families and do not do well when left alone in a backyard or kennel. They are active thinkers and want to be part of your life.

Of course, Portuguese Water Dogs are not the right breed for everyone. We always recommend that you do your homework when researching the breed and that you meet as many Portuguese Water Dogs (and owners) as you can before you make your decision to add one to your family. We also recommend that you join a local breed club and that you check out the PWDCA website.
