Pumbaa was our keeper puppy from the 2019 Lion King Litter. From the very first moment that we met him we knew that he was special. The goal of the Lion King Litter was to produce an agility prospect for a good friend. We had never intended to keep a puppy from the litter. However, after spending 8 weeks with this boy, there was no way that we were sending him home with anyone else.

Pumbaa has been such an amazing addition to our family. He is smart, goofy, funny, and driven. He learns things quickly and he is easy going and cuddly. Pumbaa is fun to be with and makes trying new things exciting. There is nothing not to love about this boy.

Pumbaa was awarded Best of Breed, Best of Breed Owner Handled, and an OH Group 3 under judge Mrs. Carolyn A Herbel at the Wisconsin Dog Days of Summer Cluster in August 2022. Pumbaa is now only 6 points away from his Grand Championship.

Pumbaa had so much fun at the Central Wisconsin Kennel Club dog shows. On his first day there, Pumbaa earned a Group 4 in the first show and a Group 1 in the second show. Then Pumbaa went on to earn Reserve Best in Show!!!! He also earned his Novice Vehicle Search title (NV) on the same day!

Pumbaa earned his Championship at the Oshkosh Kennel Club Show which was held in Manitowoc, Wisconsin due to Covid-19 restrictions. Thank you to all the wonderful judges who recognized our special boy during the journey to his championship. He started his show career as a 6 month old puppy with a 5 point major at the Grayslake Supported Entry under judge Ken Murray. Then we had to wait for months for our next show because of the Covid 19 shutdowns. We are thankful that our special boy has been recognized in his post Covid 19 shutdown show journey by so many wonderful judges. We also look forward to the next part of our journey with this boy.... the journey to earn his Grand Championship!

Pumbaa had a blast showing at the Manitowoc show over Easter weekend. He earned two Reserve Dog and two Winners Dog awards from the Bred By Exhibitor class for a few more points towards his championship.

It is definitely not the best show photo I have seen, but I am so thankful and proud to have it to remember this very special day.

Pumbaa was selected as Best of Breed in the Beginner Puppy Show at the Skokie Valley Kennel Club Dog Show in Rosemount, IL on December 8, 2019! We are so very proud of this little boy and all the joy that he brings to everyone he meets.

Pumbaa attended his first Barn Hunt Trial at the Cudahy Kennel Club in February 2020. At the trial he earned two Qualifying Scores towards his title and a first place and High in Class placing. We can't wait to get back to competing once dog events start back up!
