Students can take courses for initial credit for free online through the Virtual SC program.
Priority registration for Juniors/Seniors for Summer 2026 courses opens on May 18th, 2026.
Registration for all students for Summer 2026 courses opens on May 26th, 2026.
The registration deadline for courses is June 1st, 2026.
Summer 2026 courses will begin on June 3rd, 2026 and will end on July 28th, 2026.
The final exam window for initial credit courses will be July 29th - August 4th. Your test session will be scheduled through your School Counselor and administered at your home high school.
The deadline to withdraw from courses without penalty is June 16th, 2026.
Students who withdraw from a course or who are dropped for non-attendance after the withdrawal deadline will receive a WF on thier transcript in accordance to the South Carolina UGP as determined by the state deparment of education.

Students must submit s Virtual SC Course Request application to their School Counselor prior to course registration.
Courses must be approved by both the School Counselor and Administrator.
Applications can be picked up from the School Counseling Department and must be returned with a parent/guardian signature.
*Courses are not taught or managed by CCSD teachers, counselors, or administration. Communication with virtual instructors can be coordinated through the student Virtual SC portal. Regular attendance and submission of work are required.
