Seniors may request to graduate at the end of the 1st semester of their final year. The following conditions apply:
Will not receive a class rank
Class rank is often a determining factor to be awarded state and institutional scholarship money. CCSD is not liable for any scholarship monies that a student is not awarded due to not having a qualifying class rank*
Not eligible to be valedictorian or salutatorian
Not eligible to participate in all year long or Spring extracurricular activities
May choose to walk at graduation at the end of the school year
Eligible to participate in all other senior activities
Students interested in graduating a semester early should discuss their options with their School Counselor at their grade 11 IGP conference.
Juniors may request to graduate at the end of their 3rd year. The following conditions apply:
Will be promoted to grade 12 status in PowerSchool once all minimum grade level promotion requirements are met
Not eligible to be valedictorian or salutatorian
Students interested in graduating a year early should discuss their options with their School Counselor at their grade 10 IGP conference.
Applications for early graduation must be signed by a Parent/Guardian and returned to the student’s School Counselor for processing.
Final approval of requests by Mr. Scott (Principal) is required.
Applications for early graduation can be obtained from the student’s School Counselor during their annual IGP meeting.
All requests must be received within the first 2 weeks of the school year in which the student intends to graduate.
