Mission Statement

Christ Church is a Christian faith community that welcomes all, worships together, transforms lives, an engages in God's work in greater Montpelier and beyond. 

Whoever you are, and wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here!

Ministering to our Mexican neighbors - Christ Church was the venue for our annual Mexican Consulate visit to provide consular services to Mexican workers working on Vermont farms (see the pictures above). With help from CVRAN, Bridges for Health, Vermont Legal Aid and several local clergy, over 100 people were helped in keeping their documents updated. This is an important service to their community and a true witness to our faith!

Sunday, June 28th - Christ Church and Shepherd of the Hills congregation will have another joint service in the Christ Church sanctuary. The service will be followed by a potluck. We invite parishioners from both congregations, and any guests, to join us the service (and some good Lutheran hymns!) and to bring something to share at the potluck afterwards.

Brown Bag Lunch - The community is welcome to use our courtyard at lunch time for a lovely spot to rest and rejuvenate while having lunch.  A music series is presented weekly to entertain our guests. More information on the musicians will be forthcoming.

Church School News! - Our children will be away for the summer, but we look forward to welcoming them back to Church School in the Fall!

Linda Prescott, Deb Jerard and Elizabeth Wilcox share the duties of teaching. We use the Episcopal Curriculum, which follows the lectionary, so that the child will be familiar with the readings that their parents hear while in church. We thank them for their service during the past school year!
