Life in Christadelphia

Going for Christ

In Christadelphia, the city of Christ, its citizens go for Christ. They sincerely build up their life around Christ.

Eager to learn more about Christ they also make the effort to follow meticulously the teachings of the master teacher from Nazareth.

Those words from that prophet and son of God, is taken at heart and used as an example to construct a life in Christ and for Christ.

With a Christ-like life Christadelphians continually read and study the Word of God, on their own, in the family and in group with members of the community and interested people.

The Bible gives effective direction to our lives and knowing how much it can profit man, we feel it our obligation to let others know the importance to get to know that Book of books and to come closer to our Maker God Almighty, the Elohim Hashem Jehovah.

Like Jesus had put all his trust in God, Christadelphians also try to rely fully upon God and develop a faith which is active in prayer and good works. At the same time, however, we recognize that salvation is by grace.

To imitate Christ

Humble Christ

Jehovah God has given the world His only begotten beloved son. That son of man had a simple upbringing in a workers house and when he started his public life he never claimed to do all those works by his own power, but stated that it was by the power of God that he could do all those things.

From that humbleness of Christ we can learn a lot. Also how Jesus all the time tried to follow God's Will and His commandments, should be a lesson for us.

Obeying God like Jesus Christ did

With God's help, we seek to please and obey him every day, striving to imitate Christ who faithfully obeyed his Father. We therefore endeavour to be enthusiastic in work, loyal in marriage, generous in giving, dedicated in preaching and positive in our approach to living in the modern world under God's guidance.

No place for pagan actions

Jesus always kept himself to the Torah and took part in the Judaic religion. He did not want to please people by doing what they wanted, but always did it the way God wanted it done.

We do know the world may not like us much, because we have chosen to be real followers of Christ, not taking part in the many pagan rites and traditions. Adhering Christ and worshipping his God in spirit and truth, we might belong to just a few real Christians, instead of belonging to the different popular groups of the more popular name-christians.

Witnessing about Jesus and Jehovah

For Christadelphians it is more important to follow Jesus his teachings instead of the more popular human teachings and human doctrines. We also believe that when we believe in him and follow his instructions we shall be able to enjoy the grace of salvation more.
One of the tasks Jesus has given his followers, is to go out to tell others about his works and about the Good News of the coming Kingdom of God. That is why Christadelphians do not mind speaking openly about Jesus and his God Jehovah. Preaching and witnessing should be an ordinary part of life for a Christian or follower of Christ.

Going for Jesus his God

The Real God of Jesus Christ

In Christendom we find the majority worshipping the Trinity. They believe that Jesus is God, whilst forgetting that the Real God an eternal all-knowing everywhere Sublime Supernatural Supreme Spirit Being is, where Jesus was not eternal (had a birth and death) and could not be everywhere at once neither did he know everything. Jesus even did not know when he would return or who would be seated next to him, because (he himself told so) that such matters are only to be known by his heavenly Father the Only One True God, Who is One.

Jesus did not pray to himself and asked people around him also not to worship him but to worship his heavenly Father.

The apostles also had the same God as Christ and did not pray to Jesus nor worshipped him, but worshipped the God of Israel, the God of clarity, like we should do.

The citizens of the City of Christ have only One God Host of hosts Who is above all gods of this world.

For the people of Christadelphia there is only one eternal, immortal God. Jesus Christ is His only begotten son and the Holy Spirit is God His Power.

“ Now, to the King of all future periods of time–incorruptible, invisible, absolute God –honor and glory throughout all future periods of time! Amen!” (1Ti 1:17 mhm)

“ For, there is one God! Also one mediator of humans–a human, Christ Jesus.” (1Ti 2:5 mhm)

“ So the angel answered her: “Holy Pneuma will come over you and the Most High's power will overshadow you. As a result the One to be born will be also called Holy, God's Son.” (Lu 1:35 mhm)

“ However, you apostles will receive power when the holy Pneuma comes upon you. Also, you apostles will be my witnesses through Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”” (Ac 1:8 mhm)

“ but to us there is one God and Father, from whom everything originates and we for Him; and there is one Master Jesus Christ, by whose agency everything originated, and we by means of him.” (1Co 8:6 mhm)

Jesus God's son and approved servant

Christadelphians believe God is no liar and when He declares Jesus to be His son and His approved servant, they accept it that Jesus is that son of God.

“ Look! a Voice out of the Sky, saying, “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.”” (Mt 3:17 mhm)

“ “For The God loved the world of humankind so much that He gave His only-begotten Son,so that everyone believing in him might not be destroyed but may have endless life.” (Joh 3:16 mhm)

“ And a Voice came from the cloud, saying: “This is my Son, the Chosen One–listen to him!”” (Lu 9:35 mhm)

“ “Look! My servant-boy whom I chose, My beloved in whom My soul delights! Upon him I will place My Pneuma. He will announce justice to the nations. (Mt 12:18 mhm)

“ For he had received from God the Father honor and glory when a Voice occurred to him by the Magnificent Glory: “This is My Son, My Beloved, of whom I have thought well.” (2Pe 1:17 mhm)

Jesus the sent one from God the solution against the curse of death

It is in His love that God provided a solution against the curse of death. That sent one from God, the man Jesus is the one for whom we are thankful that he was willing to put his own will aside to do the Will of God. As such Jesus came into the world to save men from their sins.

Those believing In Jesus Christ shall not perish

For the citizens of Christadelphia there’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing us the right way to salvation, giving us the opportunity not to perish, but to have everlasting life, through faith in Christ Jesus.

“ So the angel answered her: “Holy Pneuma will come over you and the Most High's power will overshadow you. As a result the One to be born will be also called Holy, God's Son.” (Lu 1:35 mhm)

“20 But, thinking about these matters, look! an angel of YHWH appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying: “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to receive to yourself Mary your woman, for the thing generated by Pneuma in her is holy. 21 She will give birth to a son and you Joseph will call his name ‘Jesus’ for he will save his people from their sins.”” (Mt 1:20-21 mhm)

“ Look! a Voice out of the Sky, saying, “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.”” (Mt 3:17 mhm)

“ “For The God loved the world of humankind so much that He gave His only-begotten Son, so that everyone believing in him might not be destroyed but may have endless life.” (Joh 3:16 mhm)

“ But, to everyone who did accept him he authorized to become children of God, because they believed in his name.” (Joh 1:12 mhm)

“ Now Jesus cried out and said: “The person believing in me not only believes in me, but also in the One who sent me.” (Joh 12:44 mhm)

“ one Master, one faith, one baptism,” (Eph 4:5 mhm)

“ Because it was graciously given to all of you–not to just believe in him–but to also suffer in Christ's behalf.” (Php 1:29 mhm)

“ And that how from your very infancy you were made acquainted with the sacred writings, those that are able to make you wise for salvation through deep conviction in Christ Jesus.” (2Ti 3:15 mhm)

By our faith in Jesus and his sacrificial offer we see by our faith in Jesus the way to enter the kingdom of God. This involves belief in the God of Christ and in His Word, the Bible, and obedience to its requirements that men and women confess their sins, repent, be baptized and follow Jesus faithfully.

“ Indeed, without faith it is impossible to please The God well. For the person who approaches The God must of necessity be convinced that The God exists as well as believing He is the Rewarder of those who seek Him out.” (Heb 11:6 mhm)

“ And we also constantly give thanks to The God because when you accepted God's Word that you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human message but as what it actually is–God's Word. It continues to work within all of you believers.” (1Th 2:13 mhm)

“ And that how from your very infancy you were made acquainted with the sacred writings, those that are able to make you wise for salvation through deep conviction in Christ Jesus.” (2Ti 3:15 mhm)

“37 Having heard this the Jews were pierced in their hearts, and they said to Peter and the other apostles: “Men, brothers, what should we do?” 38 So Peter told them: “Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and then you will receive the gift of the holy Pneuma.” (Ac 2:37-38 mhm)

“ And there is no salvation in anyone else, and no other name under heaven given to humans by which we must be saved.”” (Ac 4:12 mhm)

“ The person who believes and is immersed will be saved, but the one not believing will be condemned.” (Mr 16:16 mhm)

“3 Jesus responded to him: “I tell you this truth: Unless anyone is born from above he cannot experience the Kingdom of The God.”4 But, facing toward Jesus, Nicodemas asked: “How is a person able to be born when old? He is not able to enter the womb of his mother a second time to be born.” 5 Jesus answered him: “I tell you this truth: Unless anyone is born from water and Pneuma he cannot enter into the Kingdom of The God. (Joh 3:3-5 mhm)

“24 Because of this Jesus told his disciples: “If anyone wishes to follow me they must disown ‘self’, heft a personal cross, and then keep following me constantly.25 For whoever wishes to preserve their soul will forfeit it; and, whoever forfeits the soul because of me will find it.26 For how will a person benefit if upon gaining the entire cosmos forfeits the soul? Or, what will a person give in exchange for the soul?27 For the Son of Humankind is about to return into the glory of his Father–all his angels with him. Thereafter everyone will be compensated according to their practices. (Mt 16:24-27 mhm)

Citizens of Christadelphia

Willingness to follow Jesus, the son of God

Those who out of free choice are willing to follow the son of God, Christ Jesus, are also willing to live according his example, his advice and assignments, and like Jesus will follow the commandments of God.

As followers of Jesus Christ we endeavour to emulate him as much as we can. We believe in treating other people with respect and dignity. Where possible our community lives within the world community but stands aside from it in matters of politics, obeys the laws of the country in which we live and worships simply and freely.

We prefer to let the Bible speak for itself and determine the ways in which we should serve our God as believers who are separate from the world around us. We are not only inhabitants of this earth and of the city of Christ but also citizens of the kingdom of God.

“13 Be in subjection to every human creation because of the Sovereign LORD–whether to a king as being superior, 14 or to governors as being sent by Him to avenge doers of harmfulness, but to praise the doers of good. 15 Because this is the will of The God that those doing good muzzle ignorant and senseless persons. 16 Be as a free people, not using your freedom as a cover for harmfulness, but as God's slaves. 17 Honor all persons. Continue to show compassionate affection for the brotherhood. Continue to fear The God. Show honor to the king.” (1Pe 2:13-17 mhm)

“9 Show compassionate affection without hypocrisy. Abhor evil. Adhere to goodness. 10 Show tender empathy to one another with brotherly affection. Show preference by honoring one another. 11 Never be lazy, but be diligent. Burn with spirituality. Always slave for the Master. 12 Always rejoice in the hope. Rejoice during oppression. Persevere in prayer. 13 Share in common with the needs of the Saints. Pursue hospitality. 14 Bless persecutors. Continue blessing others and not cursing others. 15 Rejoice with those rejoicing. Weep with those weeping. 16 Think about each other. Do not think lofty thoughts. Rather, think about humble matters and associate with the humble. “Do not become wise in your own eyes.”17 Do not repay harm with harm. Think good in advance regarding all persons.18 If possible with you be peaceable with all persons. 19 Beloved, do not seek revenge for yourselves. Rather, yield to wrath. For, it has been written: “ ‘Revenge is mine and I will repay’, says YHWH.”20 Rather, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him. If your enemy is thirsty, give him something to drink. For by doing this you will heap fiery coals upon his head.”21 Do not let the bad conquer you. Rather, conquer the bad with the good.” (Ro 12:9-21 mhm)

“1 Let every soul be in subjection to superior authorities. Because no authority exists which is not by God, for all authority is by God's appointment. 2 Therefore, any person opposing the authority of The God opposes God's ordinance; and those who oppose the authority will receive judgment from God. 3 For the government rulers are feared, not because of good deeds, but because of bad deeds. So if you not want to fear the authority, then do good deeds and you will have her praise. 4 For she is God's servant for your good. But if you do bad deeds, then be in fear, for it is not without purpose she bears the execution-sword. She is God's servant as a wrathful avenger against the person practicing what is harmful. 5 It is a necessity, therefore, to continue in subjection, not only because of the wrath but also because of the conscience. 6 For because of this conscience you also pay taxes, because they are God's civil servants always paying attention to these tax matters. 7 So give to these their dues: to the one due taxes, the tax; to the one due the levy, the levy; to the one due respect, respect; to the one due honor, honor.” (Ro 13:1-7 mhm)

“29 Let not a single rotten word proceed out of your mouth, but rather any good word for building up of the needy, so that those listening are favored. 30 Also do not sadden the holy Pneuma of The God in which you were sealed unto a day of releasing by ransom. 31 Remove from yourselves every kind bitterness and animosity and vengeance and shouting and blasphemy, together with every kind of hurtfulness. 32 Rather become benevolent to one another, well inclined to sympathy, compassionately forgiving of others, just as The God in Christ graciously forgave you.” (Eph 4:29-32 mhm)

“ Peter and the apostles responded and said: “It is a necessity that we obey God rather than humans.” (Ac 5:29 mhm)

Therefore, we do not mind those who mock with us because we do believe in One God or because we do not take Jesus as our God. Obeying God stands in first place for us.

We prefer to be imitators of God, letting Christ's teachings live in us, trying to be a noteworthy example.

“ That is, the Christ taking up residence in your hearts because of your faith combined with love. All of you having been rooted and founded,” (Eph 3:17 mhm)

“ Allow Christ's word take up residence within you with all of its rich wisdom. Continue teaching and admonishing yourselves–in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs of thankfulness–within your hearts to God.” (Col 3:16 mhm)

“ So, let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Heavenly Father.” (Mt 5:16 mhm)

“ Get a firm grasp on Life's Word leading to my boasting during Christ's Day, proving that I did not run without purpose, nor labor in vain.” (Php 2:16 mhm)

Christadelphia before Jerusalem

A Time before a Big Battle

The inhabitants of this universe have the Bible that tells the story of mankind and how God plays a role in this universe.

The Bestseller of all times, tells the story of the relation between God and man, and speaks a lot about promises, which God made to several people, like Adam and Eve, Moses, Abraham and David.

The Old Testament times showed how many promises of God came in fulfilment in those ancient days. Several promises also find their fulfilment in Jesus Christ.

“14 And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, "Now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward; 15 for all the land which you see, I will give it to you and to your descendants forever. 16 "And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if anyone can number the dust of the earth, then your descendants can also be numbered. 17 "Arise, walk about the land through its length and breadth; for I will give it to you."” (Ge 13:14-17 NAS)

“15 Then the angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time from heaven, 16 and said, "By Myself I have sworn, declares the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son, 17 indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 "And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice."” (Ge 22:15-18 NAS)

“12 "When your days are complete and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your descendant after you, who will come forth from you, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 "He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14 "I will be a father to him and he will be a son to Me; when he commits iniquity, I will correct him with the rod of men and the strokes of the sons of men, 15 but My lovingkindness shall not depart from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you. 16 "And your house and your kingdom shall endure before Me forever; your throne shall be established forever."’"” (2Sa 7:12-16 NAS)

“31 And, behold, you will conceive in your womb and will give birth to a son, and you will give him the name Jesus. 32 He will become a renowned person and will be called a son of the Most High. YHWH The God will give to him David's throne, 33 and he will reign over Jacob's House throughout the Ages. There will never be an end to his kingdom.”” (Lu 1:31-33 mhm)

“6 Even so Abraham believed God and was accounted to him as righteousness. 7 Are you not aware that it is persons of deep conviction who are the children of Abraham? 8 And so the Scripture–seeing beforehand that The God would pronounce innocent the non-Jews because of deep conviction–declared the Gospel in advance to Abraham, saying: “In you will all the non-Jews become blessed.”9 Therefore, everyone who are persons of deep conviction are being blessed with faithful Abraham.” (Ga 3:6-9 mhm)

“ Now these promises were made with Abraham and his seed. It does not say, ‘And to seeds’, as if many, but only to One–and to your Seed –who is Christ.” (Ga 3:16 mhm)

“26 So in union with Christ Jesus all of you are God's sons because of deep conviction. 27 For all of you who were immersed into Christ have taken Christ upon yourselves. 28 None in Christ are viewed as Jews or non-Jews, as slaves or freeman, as male or female. Because all of you are one in union with Christ Jesus. 29 And if you belong to Christ then you are also the seed of Abraham, heirs due to a promise.” (Ga 3:26-29 mhm)

Days to come

Jesus gave lots of warnings concerning a time still to come, of which he also did not know when it would arive. Though he told his disciples to be watchful and to be on the look out for the signs, which shall be an omen or indication that those Last Days are near.

Believing what is written in the Scriptures, people from Christadelphia live by those warnings in the Book of books and live by the hope given in the resurrection of Christ. Even when we do know before those Last days it shall not always be easy, we being prepared for it, shall stand stronger, than those who do not want to know that those days shall come.

We know that in the last days, mockers are going to have a heyday. Reducing everything to the level of their puny feelings, they shall laugh with us like many laughed with Noah as well. We do know that the time of the Son of Man will be just like the time of Noah.

“ “And just as it was in Noah's days, so it will be also in the Days of the Son of Humankind.” (Lu 17:26 mhm)

“ The person feeding on my flesh and drinking my blood possesses endless Life, and I will resurrect that person at the Last Day.” (Joh 6:54 mhm)

“ Your gold and silver have corroded and their corrosion will be a witness against you. Your flesh will be devoured. You have stored up fire as your treasure in the last days.” (Jas 5:3 mhm)

“ For you know this first that during the end of the days there will come scoffers making mockery in accordance with their own desires.” (2Pe 3:3 mhm)

People of Christadelphia prepare themselves and try to endure until the end, ignoring those who hate us as lovers of God and being very careful with the many false teachers and false prophets. Being objects of hatred Brothers and sisters in Christ shall continue to live in peace and to preach that agapè love, according to the Law of love.

We must be aware of the many signs, like the increase of natural disasters and hazards, but also troubles and fighting in the world.

Great Trouble shall come, we should not be taken by that trouble on a scale beyond what the world has ever seen, or will see again, because as warned people those in Christadelphia shall be prepared and look forward to that moment when Jesus Christ shall return.

“ You will be hated by everyone because of my name. But, the one who endures completely will be saved.” (Mt 10:22 mhm)

“3 But, while sitting on the Mount of Olives the disciples came to him in a private spot, asking: “Tell us, when will this occur? And, what will be the sign of your Arrival and the complete end of the Age?” 4 And, Jesus answered them: “Look out no one misleads you.5 For many will come using my name, saying: ‘I AM THE ANOINTED!’ They will mislead many!6 But, you will hear of wars and reports of wars and catastrophes. Do not be terrified for these early occurrences are a necessity. But, the End does not occur immediately.7 For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom and here and there famines and earthquakes.8 But, all these things are a beginning of birth-pangs.9 “They will hand you over to oppression and kill you and you will be hated by all nations for my name.10 And then many will stumble and they will betray one another and hate one another.11 Many false prophets will rise and mislead many.12 Because of increasing lawlessness the love of many will cool.13 But the one who endures completely will be saved.14 And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole inhabited earth for a testimony to all the nations. And then The End will come. (Mt 24:3-14 mhm)

“ Now these things happened to them typically and were written in our behalf as an admonition to us upon whom the end of this time period has arrived.” (1Co 10:11 mhm)

We shall be joyful in hope and patient in times of trouble, and we shall keep reading the Bible and praying.

“ Always rejoice in the hope. Rejoice during oppression. Persevere in prayer.” (Ro 12:12 mhm)

After the Battle the Kingdom to stay for ever

When this world shall be confronted with the Third World War or the Big Battle - The Great Tribulation or Armageddon, all those false religions shall come to an end.

Then it shall be the end of this age, the end of the system of things.

“ The enemy sowing them is the Devil. The harvest is the consummation of a period. The reapers are angels.” (Mt 13:39 mhm)

“4 “Tell us, when will all this happen? And what will be the sign when all these things reach a conclusion?” 5 Then Jesus began to answer them, saying: “Be careful that no one misleads you apostles!6 For many will arrive claiming my authority, saying, ‘I am the Anointed!’ –and they will deceive many.7 When you hear of wars and rumors of wars do not be alarmed, for such things must happen.8 Because nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Also, there will be earthquakes and famines in various places. These things are only a beginning of birth pangs.9 “As for you apostles, be on your guard, for they will hand you over to sanhedrins, and in synagogues you will receive beatings. You will stand before rulers and kings on my account as a testimony against them.10 Also, among all the non-Jews the Good News must be proclaimed first.11 However, when they arrest you apostles and lead you away, do not be overly concerned what you will speak, because whatever you speak will be given to you by the holy Pneuma at that moment.12 Also, brother will betray brother, and a father his son, leading to death. And children will stand up against their own parents and will condemn them to death.13 You will be hated by all humanity because of my name, however the person who endures completely will be saved. (Mr 13:4-13 mhm)

We, taking care for noticing the signs and preparing ourselves for the days to come, look forward to that salvation and to that day that Jesus shall judge the living and the dead, either to enter the small gate to the Kingdom of God or to face a second death.

“ Because the Father judges no one, but all the judgment He has given to the Son,” (Joh 5:22 mhm)

“ The person disregarding me, and refusing to accept my Sayings, has that One judging them. The Word that I spoke will judge that person in the Last Day.” (Joh 12:48 mhm)

“ I charge you, Timothy, in the sight of The God and of Christ Jesus – the One who is to judge the living and the dead – and by his visible appearing and his Kingdom–” (2Ti 4:1 mhm)

“ In this way the Love of God has been perfected with us, so that we may have freedom of speech in the Day of the Judgment. Because just as that One is, so also we are in this world-order of humanity.” (1Jo 4:17 mhm)

“ Because His judgments are true and right. Because He judged the Great Harlot who corrupted the earth with her prostitution. He avenged the blood of His slaves shed by her.”” (Re 19:2 mhm)

When the Good News shall be preached all over the world, then the Kingdom will come

The Christadelphians or Brothers and sisters in Christ do know one of the signs of the endtimes shall be the worldwide preaching or witnessing of Jehovah's Name and praising Him and His wonderworks, letting the whole world hear the Call of God and the Gospel, or Good News of the Kingdom of God.

“ But, you, seek first His Kingdom and righteousness and all these will be added to you.” (Mt 6:33 mhm)

“ And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole inhabited earth for a testimony to all the nations. And then The End will come.” (Mt 24:14 mhm)

“ And the demonic inspirations led them together into the place that is called in Hebrew HAR- MAGEDDON.” (Re 16:16 mhm)

“ Then I saw the wild Sea Beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered to make The War with the one riding the White Horse and with his armies.” (Re 19:19 mhm)

“ “At that time the King will say to those on his right-hand: ‘Approach, those blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the world's foundation.” (Mt 25:34 mhm)

“ It is The God who has delivered us from the authority of the Darkness and transferred us into the Realm of His beloved Son.” (Col 1:13 mhm)

“ Or those who by means of their deep conviction struggled to conquer kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, (Heb 11:33 mhm)

“ and he made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father–to him the glory and the might throughout all future periods of time. Amen!” (Re 1:6 mhm)
