Christadelphia's Faith

Many Churches in the world

Different denominations

When we look around us we can see many church buildings where people come to worship their god. You might find that those different churches also represent different denominations.

You should clearly be aware that not every church is the same and not every church can offer you the same salvation. They all have to do with a belief in one or more gods.

The churches represent a set of beliefs about a god, and the ceremonies and customs that go with these beliefs. In those church groups there are several religious groups that may have slightly different beliefs from other groups who belong to the same religion or even have a lot of difference. As such in Christendom we might find two main groups: Trinitarians and Unitarians or non-trinitarians.

Most well known churches, those of Lovers of the Trinity

The majority of churches in Christendom have members who believe in a 'Holy Trinity'. The people of Christadelphia reject such false teaching and only follow the teachings of the Bible, where there is never spoken about a three-headed god to be worshipped. Nowhere in the Bible shall you find the word Trinity. The Holy Trinity in itself is really a Biblical contradiction.

You should ask yourself

Does there have to be a Holy Trinity Mystery?.

Christadelphians are convinced there is no place at all in a True Faith.

Churches of Lovers of One God

In the World of God there is only place for churches which belong to the Body of Christ. Those churches may be very different like body parts are very different. As such in the Body of Christ you may find different denominations. But the main points those churches or faith groups have in common. They follow all that same Nazarene teacher Jeshua, better known as Jesus. They also worship that same God who was worshipped by Jesus, namely his heavenly Father, Jehovah, the Only Real or True God of Israel.

The Christadelphian community is one united community where people relate to each other as brothers and sisters in a united faith in Christ. Together they make church or form an ecclesia.

Believers in One God

Many Guides to the One God

In Christadelphia it is believed that God is One but that there are many ways to come to God, also by many guides or different churches.

We believe that people are all themselves responsible for their own choice. In the end, when they come before the judgement-seat of Christ Jesus, they shall have to be accountable. Therefore, everybody should be really careful with what he or she wants to believe and how he or she wants to live that faith.

Churches of One or more gods

Not just any church is or shall be an accepted community by the Lord. We believe that it well can happen that people shall come to hear that Jesus them does not know. For many are members of churches where a lot of things happen that are against the Will of God. In such churches one can find graven images of more than one god and different saints.

God is very clear about pure worship, and we believe we should follow the regulations given by Jesus Christ and his heavenly Father. We believe we have to live by the rules of God and not by the rules of man. As such we do have to do away of all false doctrines and heathen gods, festivals, rites.

One God having giving hope

One eternal Source

Christadelphians believe that there is Only One True God Who created heaven and earth and Who should be praised and honoured as the Omniscient Highest Supreme Eternal Spirit Being and Source of everything.

We believe that Divine Creator God, had a Plan when He created the universe. We are convinced God's Work has not come to accomplishment yet. There still have to happen certain events. In His Word given to man, by the Book of books, the Bible, God as our best Guide to life gives instructions to edify and to find the right way by His road code, and to see the signs of the times.

Promiser God

We believe that Jesus is the promised one spoken about in the Old Testament. We believe that Jesus is not God but the sent one and authorised one from God, the heavenly Father.

God made many promises. Some got already fulfilled in the previous centuries, but others still have to come through. We are sure that God is no liar and shall keep to His Words and promises.

So when God declared Jesus to be His only begotten beloved son, we take God His Word for it. Furthermore, we do believe God has taken that son of man his sacrificial or ransom offering as full payment to break the curse of death. By accepting Jesus offer, his death at the stake or wooden pole, we may find the Redeemer Christ, our Saviour thanks to the Saviour God.

A Kingdom for a king

God promised the People of Israel a saviour and an anointed king. We do believe Jesus is that King of Israel.

We also believe that the promise of an eternal peace and never ending Kingdom shall come to be. It is by that hope with a foundation that we live and are able to prepare ourselves for more difficult times to come, without having to fear as much as so many non-believers do.

We believe that there shall come a Third World War, also called Armageddon, and that Jesus at that time shall return and shall come to judge the living and the raised dead. Then the righteous shall be allowed to enter the Kingdom of Christ, were Jesus shall be seated as king in Jerusalem. After thousand years Jesus shall subdue himself to his heavenly Father, the Only One God and give that Kingdom to Him Who it belongs.

Believing in the light and son of God given to the world

We believe the words spoken by the prophets and that the promised and sent one from God, Jesus Christ, our light and king shall be, as well the way is to God.

We are convinced that those who believe in Jesus Christ, him being the son of God, and Messiah, shall be saved.

“ If I am not doing the works of my Father, do not believe me.” (Joh 10:37 mhm)

“ For if you Jews continued to believe Moses, it is likely you would believe me, because that one wrote about me.” (Joh 5:46 mhm)

“ So I said to you Jews, ‘You will die in your sins.’ For if you do not believe that I am him, you will die in your sins.”” (Joh 8:24 mhm)

“ Then Jesus said to them: “O senseless ones, slow in heart to believe in all that was spoken by the prophets.” (Lu 24:25 mhm)

“ Jesus answered them: “This is the work of The God, so that you might believe in the One The God sent forth.”” (Joh 6:29 mhm)

“ Simon Peter responded, “You are the Messiah, the Son of The Living God!”” (Mt 16:16 mhm)

“ And we have believed! We realize that you are the Saint of The God!”” (Joh 6:69 mhm)

“ She said to him: “Yes, Master! I have believed that you are the Christ, the Son of The God, the One coming into the world of humankind.”” (Joh 11:27 mhm)

“ And His Word you do not possess–nor does it remain in you–because all of you do not believe that one sent forth.” (Joh 5:38 mhm)

“ so that all of these apostles may be one just as You, Father, are in me and I in You, so that they may also be one in us, that the world of humankind may believe You sent me forth.” (Joh 17:21 mhm)

“ However, these have been written so that all of you readers may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of The God. And, because of believing, you readers may have Life because of his name.” (Joh 20:31 mhm)

We believe that we have to put our faith in Jesus and worship the same God as he did.

A resurrection to look forward

Living and dead called by Jesus

Christadelphians do believe that God is an eternal unseen all-knowing Supernatural Spirit Being, which mean we do believe He, Jehovah God, has no birth and no dead and knows everything. All created beings on earth are mortal beings. The majority of them shall die, decay and become dust. A very few shall still be alive when Armageddon shall take place. They with the dead shall be called by the one who died long ago (in the first century of this era) and who was taken out the grave by God after he had spent three days in the hell or sepulchre. That man of flesh and blood, born in Bethlehem and brought up in Nazareth, who came to preach about that eternal Creator God. That man from Nazareth, we believe to be a prophet, the sent one from God and the only begotten beloved son of God, who was authorised by God to speak in His name and to do miracles in His Name.

Resurrection of one man example for all people

In that son of man and son of God His resurrection we do have an example to what shall happen to us. We do believe we may live by that hope of salvation and liberation from the curse of death.

It shall not be straight after man's death that a part of him, a so-called soul, would go to heaven. We believe the soul is the being and not some extra thing in man that would separate by death. We believe that the Kingdom of God will also take place here on earth and that most people who shall be found rightous in the eyes of Jesus shall be allowed to enter the Kingdom of God after the Judgement by Christ.

Believing in changing and becoming whitewashed by baptism

Call of God

We are convinced that it is God Who calls people. It is up to people to be willing to hear that call of God and to react in the right way.

People can help others to come to know God by helping them to read and understand the Word of God. We believe that Word of God can transform people. We believe the Bible has the power to change. When learning more about God, we believe a person can take new steps to make his own person better, becoming a better human being. By the willingness to hear God's Word people shall come to receive more light and shall come to grow in understanding of the True Gospel and wisdom.

By answering the call of God in the right way, people shall understand that they shall have to put their old life aside and start a new life. We believe every person is given to do that.

Baptism way of giving oneself to God

God expects from each person that he or she comes to see what is good and what is bad. Having gained knowledge of good and bad, one has to feel regret, repent and ask forgiveness for the things one has done wrong.

We believe Jesus has given himself as a ransom so that our sins shall be forgiven. By the grace of God we can be whitewashed of sins by the blood of Christ.

Symbolically we can drown our old body and have ourselves whitewashed by full immersion in water. We believe only such a full immersion is the only acceptable baptism. By 'going under' one can 'come above' or spiritually erect and from then onwards start growing in the true faith based on biblical truth.

Following up the tasks given by Jesus

Being a follower of Christ

Being a Christian

We believe that each person who claims to be a Christian, should be a follower of Christ. Being a follower of Christ encompasses that one follows Jesus his teachings and shall try to do what Jesus asked his disciples and followers to do.

Jesus presented a simple or Golden Rule, which we should bear in our heart. We believe that One Great Rule, comprehends all the commandments of God we still have to keep.

Being a Christian should mean being a follower of Christ and acting in the way Jesus Christ would want us to see behave. Every time we should be an example for others.

We also believe by wanting to be united with and under Christ, we have to share the gift from God and the same love with others as Christ gave his love to the surrounding people.

Going out into the world

Preaching the Good News

Part of love for the other is to want all people to be saved. We believe we should follow up the task Jesus has given to his disciples to go out into the world and to preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God. We must not fail to proclaim that Good News further.

Wherever and whenever we should speak about Jehovah God and about Jesus His beloved son and our Saviour. We should take every opportunity to talk about our love for God and make it clear that Jesus is the way to Him.

Sharing our love for Christ

Life for Christ

We believe that as followers of Jesus Christ we should share that love for Christ with as many persons as we can.

In a life for Christ there is no place for hatred or racial exclusion. For a Christian is every human being equal. All of us should also try to live in respect to each other and in unison with our surroundings, nature which is given to us by God, so we have to protect it.

We believe that each person has received certain gifts from God and should use them in the best way to honour God's creation. Being a good example to others we also should share the good things with others and show the world how we can have a better world.

Together we should strive for that better world and spread peace and happiness wherever and whenever we can.

All working together to come to a better world, we believe it shall make life easier, more pleasant, and great to look forward to the promises of God, giving us the prospect of a non-ending life in a Royal Garden or Paradise here on earth.

Believe in prayer

We believe we can have conversations with our heavenly Father, the Most High Elohim Hashem Jehovah. We should bring praise that most High Jehovah God above all.

We have faith in Him Who is willing to give ear to our supplications and words of prayer. For our prayers we can use our own words and use also as base for our prayers words of God's men, as presented in the Bible (like in Psalms, Proverbs and the Songs of Solomon).

We should always be careful to direct our words of prayer to the Right Person. Never may we pray to sculptures or graven images of any god or idol. We believe we may not anger God and should always keep or faith life in line with His ordinances. In the same way, we believe that we may not be of this world in such a way that we would partake in paganism, pagan festivals or heathen rites.
