Holy Resurrection Church Tovsty Lis village
The church was built in the style of the Ukrainian Cossack Baroque without a single nail in 1760 on the site of a dismantled, more ancient one.
It’s located in the center of the village. The church is three-story wooden with a bell tower and a small room attached from the west, the three-headed Central light dome, other domes are deaf, hidden outside under the roof. Preserved paintings of the XIX century. In 1897, a square, two-story bell tower was added to the vestibule. Its low lower tier - the quadrangle turns into an octagonal upper, covered with a tent roof.
The church was included in the list of architectural monuments of the Ukrainian Soviet Republic.
It was ruthlessly looted by prowlers, who were not stopped even by radiation (in the winter of 1995, 9 years after the accident, it had 15 microsieverts/hour under its roof). At the end of April 1996, it burned down together with the ancient village, known since the 16th century. Some of the icons and fragments of the iconostasis are kept in the National Museum "Chornobyl".
Храм побудований у стилі українського козацкого барокко без жодного цвяха у 1760 році на місці розібраного, більш древнього.
Покладена в центрі села. Церква дерев'яна тризрубна з прибудованими із заходу дзвіницею і невеликим приміщенням, триголова Центральний купол світловий, інші купола глухі, приховані зовні під дахом. Збереглися розписи XIX ст. У 1897 р до бабинця прибудовано квадратну в плані, двоярусна дзвіниця. Її невисокий нижній ярус - четверик переходить в восьмигранний верхній, накритий шатровим дахом.
Церква входила до переліку пам'яток архітектури Української РСР
Безжально пограбована мародерами, яких не зупинила навіть радіація ( у змку 1995 р. через 9 років після аварії під її дахом було 1500 мкР/год) Наприкінці квітня 1996 року згоріла вщент разом із древнім селом, відомим з ХУІ століття. Частина ікон, фрагменти іконостасу зберігаються у Національному музеї «Чорнобиль».

Напис на іконі: " «Сия икона сооружена сестрами с.Лубянка Шепеличского района Киевской области. 1954г. 20 июня.И пожертвована Кресто-Воздвиженской Церкве с. Т.Лес того же района и области» .
Знайдена та врятована науковцямі музею у 1993 р. під час чергової пошукової експедиції у зону відчуження .
The exposition of the National Museum "Chornobyl" preserves the icon of St. Nicholas from the Church of the Resurrection in the village of Tovsty Lis.
The inscription on the icon: "This icon was built by the sisters of the village of Lubyanka, Shepelych district, Kyiv region. June 20, 1954. And it was donated to the Church of the Exaltation of the Cross in the village of T. Les of the same district and region."
It was found and rescued by the museum's researchers in 1993 during another search expedition to the exclusion zone.
