東北大学大学院経済学研究科では、高齢経済社会及びそれに対応した公共政策について先端的な研究を行い、 高齢化の進行に伴う諸問題に適用して問題解決に資するとともに、その成果を広く社会貢献・教育等にも 活用することを目的として、2015年4月1日、東北大学大学院経済学研究科高齢経済社会研究センター を設立いたしました。 本センターには、（１）加齢経済研究セクション、（２）高齢社会公共政策研究セクション、 （３）医療経済研究セクション、（４）福祉経済研究セクション、（５）国際共同研究プラットフォームの ５つの部門を置き、高齢経済社会及びその公共政策に関する研究、この分野での共同研究・受託研究及び 寄付講座の受入れ、その他センターの目的達成のために必要な事業を実施してまいります。 今後は、学内外の機関、研究者の皆様と連携をとりながら、与えられたミッションを達成していく所存です。 皆様のお力添えを賜りますようお願い申しあげます。

The objectives are not only to carry out the advanced researches on the public policy for solving the issues in the aged economy and society but also to widely utilize the fruits for the social contribution and education or so.

 The center has the five sections: (1) research section on the aged economy, (2) research section on the public finance and policy for aged society, (3) research section on the health economy, (4) research section on the social security, family economics, and (5) international collaborative research platform. With them, we will engage ourselves in the researches on the aged economy and society [the aged economic society] and public policy for it, collaborative research, commissioned research programs and endowed chair in the field, and other related activities to accomplish the objectives described above. 

We will continue to do our best to accomplish the committed missions in cooperation with the institutions and researchers inside and outside our university. We would appreciate your help.
