Brough Politicians of America

There are several well-known Brough politicians who left a positive mark upon America's political history. Four of these individuals are as follows:

1) John Brough (1811-1865), who served as the "Civil War Governor" of Ohio, and whose Brough ancestry extends back to England in the early 1600's.

2) Charles Milton Brough (1842-1910), who served as the Mayor of Ogden, Utah in the 1890's, and whose Brough ancestry extends back to Pennsylvania in the early 1800's.

3) Alexander Brough (born 1863), who served as a Magistrate in New York City and as a New York state politician, and whose Brough ancestry extends back to Scotland in the early 1700's.

4) Charles Hillman Brough (1876-1935, and the son of Charles Milton Brough), who served as the 25th Governor of Arkansas, and whose Brough ancestry extends back to Pennsylvania in the early 1800's.
