The competent teacher has foundational knowledge of reading, writing, and oral communication within the content area and recognizes and addresses student reading, writing, and oral communication needs to facilitate the acquisition of content knowledge.Â
These artifacts show following the curriculum of the district for the literature lessons. This slide show demonstrates the visual and verbal aspects of the lesson in order to show student acquisition of content knowledge. There are writing prompts that coincide with watching a video on the content that is being taught.
