The experiences that I had outside of the regular school activities to develop many relationships with different members of staff was an amazing experience for me. I have gained people as resources and mentors in which I have learned so much over the course of the semester.
This shows an example of a project the students were having to work through in their class. I was able to help them brainstorm ideas for what they wanted their stories to be about. It was so exciting to see what their brains came up with and how well it worked together. They were to complete a guided outline and then write out their story and color a picture of the snow globe that their story had created. Through this experience, one student learned that they could come up with very creative ideas, while another student learned that they are very good at drawing out their experiences beautifully. It was amazing to see the gifts come out through a fun academic task.
