Recommendation for Maintenance, Repair, or Strengthening

Transverse beams need to be checked on work required during an inspection as moderate section loss is found to cause some reduction in functionality – penetration is between 5 to 20% of the section thickness.

Secondary beams to be checked to provide anti-corrosion layers.

Parapet beam covering needs to be bolted properly as nuts are missing at the bottom at one end of the bridge.

Closure examination of bearings and crosshead/capping to be done for maintenance.

Sealants to be applied on Deck jointing elements to avoid water penetration and leakages

The Protective coating should be applied on handrails and deck elements (cable hangers and base plates, edges of column/tower)

Pointing should be done for retaining walls to avoid further seepage.

Lighting posts need to be made stain-free and painted o avoid rusting.

Foundations need a closer examination for scour, pointing, or crack check.
