Bulihan National High School (BNHS) held a tree planting event organized by the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) Club, on December 6, 2023. The event was led by the YES-O Club and our school head, Mr. Damaso I. Educalan.
The tree planting aimed to raise awareness about the environment and encourage students and teachers to help protect and preserve nature. It was a chance for everyone to learn the importance of taking care of the environment.
Before planting began, we had a short program. Mr. Educalan talked about why planting trees is important for fighting climate change and making our school greener. He encouraged everyone to join in and make a difference.
After the program, each organization went to their assigned area to plant the different varieties of native trees. Students and teachers worked together in planting different varieties of native trees. This effort demonstrated a shared commitment to sustainability, instilling in pupils a feeling of environmental awareness and responsibility while also strengthening the school's role in cultivating a greener future for all.
