This module covered the Singapore Teaching Practice (STP) and introduced the four core teaching processes as well as how we can incorporate the 24 teaching areas in our lessons. It was split into two sections, positive classroom culture and lesson enactment – whole class vs small group teaching strategies, as well as assessment, feedback and differentiated instruction. These pedagogies were new to me and I am excited to try them out during my teaching practice. This module was conducted in tandem with our teaching assistantship and enabled more explicit theory-practice link as we reflected on the teaching actions that our mentors enacted and how they align with the different classroom management and pedagogical strategies.
