My research work is focused on the study of short- and long-term changes in intertidal macroalgae communities and their relationship to increased natural and anthropogenic disturbances at both global and local scales. My current research aimed to investigate the role of extreme events and local estresors in these changes, and their impact on ecosystems services that many seaweeds provide. At the same time, I carried out different scientific dissemination works and collaborates in research studies related to environmental interpretation and education, and their potential as management tools for the conservation of the marine environment in protected areas.
