Salut! Dag! Hello! I'm Briggs and I was born and raised in Charleston, SC, before moving to Hartsville to attend the Governor's School. My favorite things to do are travel, hiking/backpacking, and reading (I also love biking). In university I hope to study politics with a focus on international relations, with potentially a double-major in the environment and sustainability. With Bike to the Future, I'm focusing on sustainable and viable transportation methods, with an emphasis on policy implementation.
Hey y’all! I’m G and I’m from Greenville, SC, home of the Swamp Rabbit Trail (the best trail in SC). I love mountain biking and hiking, and just nature in general. I plan to study political science and economics, though I hope to keep researching more about the environment and cycling. My focus during this project is on implementing accessible trails and looking into the politics behind the bettering of cycling infrastructure.
Goal for the semester: Stay on my bike!
Hi! My name is Jacinda, and I have lived in Bluffton, South Carolina my entire life. I love hairless cats and crocheting! I intend to study computer science with a focus on artificial intelligence, but I also plan to continue my transportation studies by minoring in community development. My focus for this semester is researching urban planning, and more specifically researching the process of urban regeneration.
Hello! My name is Jorja and I am from Pawley's Island, South Carolina. I am interested in studying Public Health on the global level, with my dream being working with a United Nations-affiliated organization. I am a HUGE geek, and as such I love playing Tetris, learning about non-Euclidian geometrical anomalies, and conducting independent research. Right now, my independent inquiry is focused on the beautiful complexity of the viability of automotive alternatives and its relation to human development. My work with Bike to the Future will be health-related, and I will try to tie in how health and transportation interact in our dynamic world. I hope my research can offer new insights into the secondary effects of transportation on anthropological livability.
Hi! My name is Michael and I have lived in Greenwood, South Carolina my whole life until I moved to Hartsville, South Carolina for school. I love volleyball, swimming, videogames, music, and cycling! I plan on majoring in Genetics and then becoming a genetic counselor. I hope that I can keep sharing my love of cycling to others wherever I end up in the future! My goal for this course is to create a cycling advocacy group in Hartsville to identify and fix problem areas for cyclists.
