Background Information 

• Born and raised in Hartsville, SC. Graduated from Hartsville High School in 1989

• Co-Owns the Dempsey Construction with his brother 

• His technical position at the company is treasurer, but the titles need to be changed since his father left the company. 

Synopsis

Bill Dempsey and his brother runs Dempsey Construction, a family business that was previously owned by their father. Mr. Dempsey focuses on paving projects, with a specialty in right of way design, while his brother focuses on structural construction projects. The company is well-known in Hartsville. Some of their projects include paving the Hartsville Roses parking lot, paving sidewalks in downtown Hartsville, and soon the company will pave a new RV park near Patrick, SC. Mr. Dempsey's expertise and contacts with SCDOT have provided our team with the next steps we need to take to work towards a path being constructed on the walking route to Walmart from GSSM.
