SOCIO-EMOTIONAL INTEGRATION

Historically the disabled bodies were displayed as the freaks  in a circus show. Abandoned by their family and with no decent job to procure they were forced to work for these cruel circus masters who treated them nothing less than beasts. With Poor and hostile conditions to survive they never actually performed but were merely a wonder of nature and inferior to other circus performers- incapable,a figure of pity and disgust.

But coming to the present scenario a lot has changed. In various National events such as “The First Ever National Conference Of Person With Disability Icons For Accessible Elections” conducted by the Election Commission of India at Rang Bhawan auditorium where various differently abled artists performed.(courtesy: Election Commission of India website) .
