THIS GUIDE WILL NOT BE UPDATED FOR MIDNIGHT, ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED MAY BE IRRELEVANT OR INCORRECT.
I've decided to stop playing World of Warcraft when my sub runs out, and in turn, stop updating this guide. All information found in this guide is current only up to 11.2.7, and not up to date for the changes in Midnight - those will be explained down below. My choice comes from many places, but largely disinterest in the game, and wanting to make productive life choices (that don't waste so much of my mental and emotional bandwidth). I also just don't want to spend the money anymore. Quitting is easier said than done, but fortunately I have more reasons to leave than not. It feels strange to abandon this project after only a year or so, but I very much appreciate those who helped this guide take form and the brief burst of visibility it received. I will update this front page until my sub expires.
A new race will be available, the Haranir. This is unlocked via questing in Midnight.
The War Within questing will still be bound to 70+, and Chromie Time is still limited to 70 and below. There is functionally little different in how this system works.
The Emerald Dream and Zaralek Caverns are now accessible to level 10s.
Void elves can become demon hunters, and demon hunters will gain a third spec that is Intellect-based called "Devourer".
In-combat addons are drastically reduced, with the expectation that the developers will introduce same or similar features baked into the game itself.
Tiered Medallion Settings, used on necklaces to enable triple-slotted items, will be made unusable. Since TWW content won't be accessible to low levels in Midnight, and all TWW dungeons will be out of season, those will also most likely be unusable.
There are many class changes, which can be found listed on Wowhead. Most won't directly affect low levels, but there are cases where baseline abilities are changed, added, or removed for many specs. This includes amongst other changes:
Loss of Expel Harm for MW Monk in exchange for a buffed Vivify, along with the addition of Renewing Mist as baseline.
Demon's Bite is removed from Havoc, and Demon Blades is baseline. DH has even less buttons to hit now.
Holy Priest has access to Leap of Faith or Angelic Feather at level 10, and Power Infusion at 13.
First few talents of the Mage tree are completely different - no Arcane Orb at 11 anymore. Ice Block or Alter Time though? Sure.
BOE item levels are shifted around - for instance, ilvl 25 green BOEs will now be ilvl6, making them much worse. If you want to gear a twink in BOEs, you want to farm epic BOEs on a level 16. These will be ilvl15, with a level 11 requirement.
Item levels are generally as follows (at level 10):
Mechagon Crafted Rings: 21-23 depending on version.
Timewarped items: 18
Tanaan drops and Mysterious drops (from that leveling event): 16
Normal dungeon drops and DF rare drops: 13
Quest items: 13-16
SL Speed gem is nerfed, and grant 1-2% speed stat per gem. HP SL gem still grants same amount of healing. You will probably want 10+ or more SL gems, and you will also want to farm speed terts.
Most gems also still grant the same stats (tooltips may vary on accuracy), though +4 gems are now +3 gems. TWW gems appear to scale down to level 10 and don't have a level requirement.
Enemies seem to have more HP, but you also have more HP. So, fights will feel longer.
Despite item level changes, the actual stats on the items appear to be the same except for when the item level plunged considerably (like with BOEs).
For level 11 Fury Warriors (so 80-90% of you all), use Timewarped Swords, Maces or Polearms instead of Axes now. The damage values of these have shifted to where the former is now 4.2, compared to the latter's 4.0.
Some consumables have broken tooltips and read as giving 0 stat instead of their actual value. They will still reward the values previously mentioned on here.
Mechagon Crafting rings are still undoubtedly best in slot for rings, and grandfathered DF necks with sockets will be best in slot for necks. If you still have them, then grandfathered double socket rings will still be good.
The ring and neck from Halls of Atonement will most likely stop being socketable with the Magnificent Jeweler's Setting when Midnight Season 1 starts.
Enchantments largely seem unchanged, including Lifestealing. Since you have more HP however, it technically will heal a lower percentage of your HP.
Yes, the Ooze trinket is still overpowered.
