None of the notes are hard and for violins it is all open strings! Cello has just an E on the D string to play with a finger.
Concentrate on good bowing in this piece. Check your bow hold and really make a great sound. Make sure you play very rhythmically.

Here is a clip of a family band playing together. You will hear the violin and the guitar "trading choruses" - taking turns to play the melody in their own way. Improvising around the melody happens a lot in fol music and in jazz music too. Lots of pop and rock musicians also do improvised solos on their instruments as part of a piece.
