Final 10 Tickets! Dads' Lawn Bowls Social This Friday

Colour Run success
A massive thank you to our entire school community for making this year's Colour Run an unforgettable day! The rain held off just in time for students (and brave teachers!) to run, dance, and get drenched in colour.
A huge shout-out goes to our incredible team of volunteers who managed warm up, first aid, student supervision, colour and water spraying stations, and merchandise distribution.
Thanks to your amazing support, we raised an extraordinary $28,000!!!
These funds will go directly toward creating our new sensory garden and adding much-needed playground seating. Highlights of the day included teachers joining in on the colour chaos, with a special shout-out to Miss McLachlan for her incredible organisational support, and Mr. Quinn for being such a good sport and letting the winning class, 2T, slime him! Special thanks as well to DJ Craig Saunders for bringing the energy with an incredible playlist.
As voted by the community, the MVP awards for Colour Run this year go to Chloe Young and Mr Quinn - Hostess with the Mostest (patience and good vibes!) and the best pseudo Slime Principal! Epic thanks to you both!

Just in time for summer - the BBPS Mango Drive
Get ready to sweeten your summer! We are thrilled to launch our inaugural BBPS Mango Drive. You can purchase a whole tray of delicious, fresh mangos for just $40, delivered just in time for the warm weather in late November or early December (exact delivery date to be confirmed). Place your order now via Flexischools> (scroll right in the Events section). Please note that orders close on Wednesday, 28th October, so be sure to secure your tray before time runs out!
Summer Mango Recipe Ideas
BBQ Grilled Mangos: Slice your mango into thick cheeks and lightly brush with melted butter or a touch of honey. Place cheeks face-down on a hot, clean grill for 2 to 3 minutes until light grill marks appear and the sugar caramelises. Serve warm alongside vanilla ice cream or fresh lime wedges for a classic summer treat.
Easy 2-Ingredient Mango Ice Blocks: Scoop the flesh of 2 ripe mangos into a blender and combine with 1/2 cup of Greek yoghurt or coconut milk until smooth. Pour the mixture into ice block moulds, insert sticks, and freeze for at least 4 hours until solid. It is the perfect refreshing afternoon snack for the kids after school!
Grandparents Day - Special Picnic Boxes available now
The school is hosting our wonderful grandparents and grand friends on Monday, 26 October 2026 and to help celebrate, the P&C is offering delicious individual picnic boxes to pre-order for $10 each.

Box Contents: 1 x scone with jam & cream, 2 x mini lamingtons, and 1 x 100s & 1000s biscuit.

As a reminder, here is the Schedule of Events:
10:30 AM - Open Classrooms: Grandparents and grand friends are invited into classrooms to share a special story or memory using a favorite photo or artifact from their past.
11:00 AM – Picnic on the Oval: Join us on the school oval for a picnic lunch. Please remember to bring along a picnic rug or fold-up chair so everyone can relax comfortably.
Year 3 Cake Stall - this Friday 23rd October
Our next P&C Cake Stall is happening this Friday 23rd October, and it is Year 3’s turn to bake and host.
For Year 3 Families: Please look out for a separate note in your class WhatsApp regarding nut-free baking guidelines, drop-off times, and plate collections. We appreciate your support in making this a delicious success!
For the Rest of the School: Don't forget to pop by the cake stall outside the canteen at school pick up time.
All funds raised from our cake stalls go directly towards the school. Thank you in advance to our wonderful Year 3 community for your efforts!

Please note that this meeting has been postponed till early 2027.
Flexischools change
Flexischools now requires a minimum $10 top-up when you add funds to your account, including at checkout if your balance won’t cover your order. This is not a $10 minimum spend or an extra fee - any money left after your purchase stays in your account for future orders.
Order fees and payment surcharges still apply separately. Making fewer, larger top-ups can help reduce how often you pay top-up surcharges. Please see the infographic for more information.

P&C Term 4 General Meeting: Tuesday 17 November
All parents, carers and members of the Burraneer Bay school community are welcome at the P&C’s Term 4 General Meeting.
When: Tuesday 17 November 2026, 7.00pm
Where: Staffroom, Burraneer Bay Public School
This is an important meeting. Members will be asked to adopt a new set of Rules for the P&C, replacing our current By-laws, along with a suite of updated policies. Together these set out how the P&C makes decisions, manages its funds and looks after the people involved in it. You’ll also hear the latest on P&C events, fundraising and projects.
Want a say? Anyone can attend, but only P&C Members can vote. Membership is $5 a year and is open to all parents and carers of BBPS students, and to community members living in the school’s enrolment area. You can join at the meeting, but new memberships take effect at its close, so you won’t be able to vote on the night. To vote on the 17th, you’ll need to have joined at an earlier meeting.
