MOTHER'S DAY BREAKFAST
We are so looking forward to celebrating with you and your kids at the Mother’s Day Breakfast this Friday (8am-9am Friday 8th May) outside the school hall. Grandmas, Aunts and carers welcome!

Please be advised that Flexischools food orders for our Mother’s Day Breakfast closed last night. However, we want to ensure no one in our community misses out on this special morning.
If you did not place your order, please email events.bbpspandc@gmail.com immediately and we'll advise of next steps.

Event Coordinators Wanted: Christmas and School Disco
Do you have a knack for organising? We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to head up two of our most anticipated annual events: the School Disco and our Christmas Celebration.
You do not need to be a member of the P&C to take on these roles. If you enjoy event planning and would like to lead a project, we would love to have you. While you will be the lead coordinator, you won’t be doing it alone - you will have the full support of the P&C committee and a team of volunteers to help bring the vision to life.
If you are interested in running one of these events or would like to find out more about what is involved, please get in touch. It is a fantastic way to contribute to the school community and create lasting memories for the students.

New Sports Equipment: A $5,000 P&C Contribution
The P&C is thrilled to announce a $5,000 contribution toward much-needed sporting and playground equipment, arriving this term.
At the end of last year, the teaching staff identified several well-loved items that had become worn and were in need of replacement. Thanks to our community’s incredible fundraising efforts throughout the past year, we were in a fantastic position to fund these replacements in full.
We look forward to seeing the students enjoy this new equipment during their PE lessons and lunch breaks!
Year 2 Cake Stall - what a treat! (see what we did there?!)
A massive thank you to our Year 2 families for hosting an incredible cake stall this week. The effort put into the baking was truly "next level". We saw everything from gourmet iced donuts and chocolate-covered strawberries to creative cockatoo cupcakes, brownies, Mars Bar slices, cake pops and cookies.
Thanks to your generosity and appetite, we managed to surpass the fundraising total of our first stall. Beyond the funds raised, there was a fantastic community vibe throughout the afternoon.
Volunteer Shout-outs
This event couldn't have run without our wonderful helpers. A huge thank you to Kristie, Em, Jools, Robyn, Caroline, Alex, Fi, Susanna, Louisa, Danni, Nat, Lauren and Emily.
Upcoming Stall: Kindergarten
Get ready, Kindy parents—it is your turn next!
Date: 5th June
Action: If you would like to volunteer to help on the day or coordinate donations, please Click here > to sign up.
Call for prizes for the Ladies Lunch
While our major prizes are already secured, we are looking for a few more smaller donations (valued between $30 and $100) to round out our Mother’s Day raffle.
Items such as local business vouchers, bottles of champagne, or skincare sets are perfect for this. If you own a local business, this is a wonderful opportunity to get your brand in front of 180 local women while supporting our school community.
If you can contribute, please drop your donation to the school office (attention Fiona) or email us at events.bbpspandc@gmail.com. Thank you for your continued generosity!
A couple of requests from the school
Important Safety Reminder: Morning Supervision
The school has asked us to share an important reminder regarding morning drop-off times. To ensure the safety of all students, please note that playground supervision does not begin until 8:40am. Unless your child is attending a specific organised activity (such as dance or AFL) or is enrolled in BAC, they should not be on school grounds before this time. If you require care before 8:40am, BAC provides a wonderful before-school service for our families.
Essential School Information
We have taken this opportunity to share a document containing all bell times & school contact details. We have also added this as a permanent link at the bottom of every newsletter so you can quickly refer to it throughout the year.

Parking for the AFL Clinic on Wednesday morning
The P&C is proud to be actively engaged in the AFL clinics at Burraneer Bay PS, however the school has kindly asked that parents do not use the staff carparks for drop off or parking. Please drop your children off at the kiss and ride on Gannons Road.
