Mother's Day Stall Gift Pre-Orders NOW LIVE ON FLEXISCHOOLS
Our annual Mother’s Day Stall is the perfect opportunity for students to select a special gift for the maternal figures in their lives. We have carefully curated a diverse range of gift bundles so that every child can choose a gift to suit the specific person they want to buy for, whether that be a Mum, Stepmum, Grandma, Aunt, or another special carer.
Please place your pre-order via Flexischools under your child’s name. If you have multiple children and would like each of them to pick up their gift from the stall, please ensure you place a separate order for each child. This ensures every student is on the list to visit the stall and personally pick up their pre-ordered gift/s for their special person.
Key Details:
Price: $15 per gift
Deadline: 8:00 PM, Monday 4th May
Distribution: Thursday 7th May (at school)
You're invited to...the Mother's Day Breakfast
We are delighted to invite all our Mothers, Grandmothers, special role models (and kids!) to our annual Mother’s Day Breakfast.
Please join us for a beautiful morning of community and celebration as we honour the incredible women in our students' lives. We will be gathered outside the school hall for a delicious breakfast, complete with a photo station to capture memories and arts and crafts activities for the children to enjoy.
When: Friday, 8th May
Time: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Where: Outside the School Hall
To ensure a smooth morning, we ask that you pre-select menu items for both adults and students via Flexischools. This year, we are excited to offer a delicious selection of catered options from The Grounds including:
Buttery Croissants
Assorted Danishes
Granola and Yoghurt Pots
Please log in to Flexischools now to place your order (orders close 8pm on Monday the 4th of May) and help us cater accurately for the morning. We look forward to seeing you there for a wonderful start to the day. Click here to order breakfast >
Mother’s Day is fast approaching, and while our wonderful mums usually lead the charge on P&C initiatives, we believe they should be the ones being celebrated this time around.
We are looking for volunteers to ensure the ladies can enjoy their celebrations without doing all the heavy lifting. In particular, we need help with the Mother's Day Breakfast and 3 x canteen shifts on the 22nd of May so our regular volunteers can attend the Ladies Lunch.
Mums: please forward this newsletter to the dads, uncles, grandfathers, and male carers in your life and encourage them to click on this link to give up an hour or so of their time Click here >

Term 1 Wrap Up
As we approach the end of Term 1, the P&C would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible school community. It has been a whirlwind of activity, and we are immensely proud of what we have achieved together to support Burraneer Bay Public School.
Here are some of the highlights from a very busy and productive term:
Year 4 Bake Sale: We kicked off our fundraising with a spectacular effort from our Year 4 families, raising over $1,200.
Kindy Welcome Coffee: Despite the freezing cold and pouring rain, we welcomed 57 new parents to our community - a testament to the resilient Burraneer Bay spirit...or just what we'd do a for a free coffee!
Ladies Lunch: This popular event remains a calendar highlight, selling out in just 15 minutes.
Canteen Milestones: Our special Harmony Day and Easter Recess menus were a great success and we've have had great feedback about our new Friday Sushi Days.
Volunteer Power: In an epic achievement for our school, the canteen volunteer roster is almost full. This reflects the wonderful level of engagement within our parent body.
Newsletter & WhatsApp Community: The launch of our new P&C newsletter has been incredibly well received. Additionally, our dedicated WhatsApp Community and continued social media presence are ensuring our families stay connected and informed in real-time.
Class Parents: Our Class Parent network is officially up and running, and the positive feedback regarding classroom communication has been fantastic.
Everything we do is fuelled by the time and energy of our volunteers. Whether you baked a cake, served sushi, or reminded your class that it was Cross Country today, please know that your contribution is making a tangible difference for our students.
We look forward to an even better Term 2!
Our new Grade-Led Cake Stall initiative is off to a flying start! Following the fantastic success of the Year 4 launch in Term 1, we are excited to keep the momentum going. Throughout 2026, we are hosting seven dedicated stalls—one for every grade—held on Friday afternoons directly in front of the canteen. It is the perfect way to grab a sweet treat for the weekend while supporting our school.
Next Event: Year 2 Stall
Date: Friday 1st May
Time: 3:00pm – 3:30pm
Location: In front of the Canteen
How Year 2 Families Can Help:
Donate Treats: Please bring your baked goods or treats to the canteen on Friday afternoon. P&C members will be there to receive donations from 2:30pm.
Volunteer: We need Year 2 parents to help host the stall during the 30-minute sales window. If you can assist, please add your name to the roster here: Click here >
A massive thank you to everyone who has signed up to help in the canteen. We are thrilled to announce that we have only 4 shifts left to fill for a completely full roster for the entire year!
If you have a spare couple of hours to help us get over the finish line, please text Fiona at 0497 094 358. No experience is necessary - our team will show you everything you need to know.
