BBPS P&C Newsletter

The P&C is forming a dedicated Uniform Sub-Committee, and we want you to be part of it! This working group will bring together parents, school leadership, and community members to help shape the future of the Burraneer Bay Public School uniform.

Our school uniform shop proudly services our community, and we are entering an important planning phase. The sub-committee will look at both immediate needs and long-term goals between now and 2028. Key areas of focus will include inclusivity & choice, supply & operations and affordability & sustainability.

Get Involved:

Whether you have a background in retail, finance, logistics, or simply a passion for ensuring our kids have comfortable, affordable, and practical school wear, we would love your voice on this committee.

Just as the temperature drops, we have some great news from the uniform shop! A large shipment of winter stock has arrived to help keep the kids warm.

The following items are now available for purchase:

• Microfibre Jackets: Back in stock across all sizes (except Size 6).

• Fleece Jackets: Fully restocked in all sizes.

• V-Neck Knit Jumpers: Back in stock across all sizes (except Sizes 12, 14, and 16).

PSSA Lunch Orders

A reminder that all 3-6 students attending PSSA or Paid sport on Friday must order lunch orders from the PSSA menu. NO HOT FOOD can be ordered by these students on a Friday, due to the required pick up times.

Price Increase

Unfortunately this year we have had to make some small price changes to accommodate the cost increase being passed on by suppliers. From this week, Oak flavoured Milks will increase to $3.50 to offset the fuel surcharge introduced by our dairy delivery company.  We appreciate your understanding, as we work hard to balance sustainability and keep our menu affordable for families.

Canteen Volunteers Needed - Thursday mornings

Our school canteen relies on the generosity of our parent community to keep serving healthy, delicious recess and lunch options to our students. We currently have five critical Thursday morning shifts that need to be filled for the upcoming terms.

If you can spare two and a half hours on either of the following dates, we would be incredibly grateful for your help:

• Friday 26th June (12:00pm - 2:00pm)

• Thursday 2nd July (9:00am - 11:30am)

Volunteering in the canteen is a wonderful way to meet other parents, and the kids absolutely love seeing a familiar face behind the counter. No prior experience is necessary, as our friendly team will guide you through everything.
