Operating along the UP Coast, Niles, Oakland, and Fresno Subdivisions, the Altamont Corridor Express, or ACE, runs between San Jose Diridon and other Silicon Valley stations, with 8 intermediate stops until it's destination in Stockton. This railroad operates only during rush hours, with four westbound trains in the morning and 4 eastbound trains in the evening. With connections to Caltrain at San Jose and Santa Clara-University, one can easily take an all-railroad journey from Stockton or the Tri-Valley to any Caltrain station on the Peninsula. Capitol Corridor transfer stations include San Jose Diridon, Santa Clara-University, Santa Clara-Great America, and Fremont. There are also VTA connections in San Jose and Great America. Numerous stadiums and parks are accessible by ACE trains, including the SAP Center in San Jose, Levi's Stadium, California's Great America at the Great America station, and the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. As of right now, this is the only train line serving the Tri-Valley, and is always packed full of commuters go to and from work during rush hour.
