September 16-20, 2019

I hope that each and everyone of you have had a good weekend and are ready to get back to work. Please read this carefully because I do not want for this to be misunderstood. As of right now, I will not be at Parent Teacher Conferences due to golf. Parent Teacher conferences are slated from 3-6 pm on Thursday. In addition, when I left on Friday, Power School was still down so i could not enter in any grades that you turned in on Friday nor the test grade. So, if they printed off progress reports, they are not 100% accurate. Next, I was able to grade your tests, so I can hand those back on Monday but I will need to have them returned so I can enter them.

Monday:Hand back Chapter 1 test. Understanding the basics of Population

    • Monday HW:Begin definitions. Please remember to use the two links under my resource page as your first and second places to find definitions. Definitions due Thursday.

Tuesday:Why do people live where they live?

    • Tuesday HW:Read this article and write a summary of the article. Due Wednesday.

Wednesday:Quick Discussion over article, density activity

    • Wednesday HW:Definitions

Thursday:Lecture and Map test!

    • Thursday HW:Since we are talking about population, I thought it would be interesting to see what would the world be like if everyone lived like us. So your homework is to go to this website and fill out the questionaire. BE honest and accurate. At the very end it will show you how many Earth's it would take if everyone lived like you. It will also tell you when you have overshot your EarthI want you to print off or recreate the image that is shown. In addition, if you click more details it will show you more specific information, I would like that as well. Please remember, you do not have to print it off, although it will be easier. Remember to add details when you can. Ask your parents if you do not know the answers. Unless, you are specificially purchasing green power alternatives, MLGW (your electricity provider), uses coal and natural gas to create electricity-both of which are nonrenewable. You can see mine below as an example.
