Our Amazing Solar System!
Imagine a giant, fiery ball of gas – that's our Sun! It's the center of our solar system, and it's so hot that it makes everything else in our solar system orbit around it.
Planets, Planets Everywhere!
There are eight planets that orbit the Sun. Let's meet them:
Mercury: The smallest planet and the closest to the Sun. It's super hot!
Venus: The hottest planet, covered in thick clouds.
Earth: Our home planet, the only one known to have life.
Mars: The Red Planet, with lots of dust and rocks.
Jupiter: The biggest planet, a gas giant with swirling storms.
Saturn: Famous for its beautiful rings, made of ice and rock.
Uranus: A tilted planet that rolls around the Sun.
Neptune: The farthest planet, a cold, windy world.
Other Space Stuff
Besides planets, there are other cool things in our solar system:
Asteroids: Rocky objects that orbit the Sun, mostly found in a belt between Mars and Jupiter.
Comets: Icy objects with long tails that orbit the Sun in very long paths.
Moons: Natural satellites that orbit planets. Earth has one Moon, but other planets can have many!
