55 Cancri E

55 Cancri e: A Super-Hot, Super-Earth

55 Cancri e is a fascinating exoplanet, often referred to as a "super-Earth." It's about twice the size of Earth and orbits its star much closer than Earth orbits the Sun. This proximity makes it incredibly hot, with surface temperatures estimated to be around 3,700 degrees Fahrenheit (2,000 degrees Celsius)!  

Because of its extreme heat, scientists believe that 55 Cancri e is likely a rocky planet covered in lava. It's a truly alien world, unlike anything we have in our own solar system.  

While it's an exciting discovery, it's important to remember that 55 Cancri e is not a habitable planet. Its scorching temperatures and harsh conditions make it an inhospitable place for life as we know it.
