Our Mission

On May 2nd, a majority opinion draft leaked to Politico indicated that the United States Supreme Court could vote to overturn Roe v. Wade this summer. Decided in 1973, Roe v. Wade established an individual’s right to abortion across the country. If the Supreme Court carries through with the overturning of Roe v. Wade, decisions about reproductive rights will be given back to the states. In several states, this will mean a complete ban on abortion.

While not all states will face an immediate ban on abortion, the future of reproductive rights will be in question in several states across the country. As state governments and representatives change, so could an individual's right to choose.

At A Voice for Choice, we believe that all people should be able to make their own decisions about their sexual and reproductive health, including decisions about abortion. We also believe that access to comprehensive and attainable reproductive health care should not be limited based on an individual’s geographic location.
