About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Zamir Asliev. I started attending UCBA in the Fall of 2017 so, this is my second semester. I am majoring in Information Technology. I'm looking forward to getting in the bachelor's program by the next semester. I'm originally from Samarkand, Uzbekistan. I moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in February of 2014, and still living and loving the life here. Before I came to Cincinnati I was studying natural sciences at the Lyceum in my birth city, and there was only 5 months of studying left for me to complete the degree and get a diploma or a certificate. Nevertheless, I dropped out and moved to Cincinnati. After I moved here, I started working but not studying, even English. Later, when I was a little confident about my English I started attending a career campus that also teaches English for non-English speakers for free. After a while I found out that they have the GED program and moved on that side. Then, I took the tests for GED, although they were not that easy because the preparation and studying for the test took a long time but finally I received my GED diploma in early 2017. After receiving my diploma I applied for college, specifically University of Cincinnati. The reason I decided to major in IT is that I thought studying natural sciences in English will be difficult because I'm not a native English speaker. Although I am very fluent at it and speak three other languages fluently. P.S. I've been told that I have a little to no accent but I don't quite believe that.
