I am a Welsh artist based in Cardiff with a background in stage design.

I take my inspiration from the natural world - as in the words of Shakespeare - “ All the world”s a stage “ 

I work mainly in acrylics. I like to explore the texture and transparency of the paint medium.

My current work is based on forests and trees and the effect they have on us. Looking up through the leaves within a forest I am fascinated with the shapes and light as the leaves touch the sky. 

Trees boost our physical and mental health in so many ways. As well as keeping our atmosphere rich in oxygen, they filter pollutants from the air, shade our streets when it’s hot and even improve our immunity. Trees are a necessity - their fruits tempting and desirable - but as we know human endeavours are upsetting the delicate balance of nature. 

They say the best time to plant a forest is 20 years ago - if that hasn’t happened the next best time is now!
