Practicum Requirements

The following document contains the Protocol assigned to SU's Career Switchers, which I used to plan my interviews, observations and student teaching. All future teachers in the Spring program are assigned a school and practicing teacher in the middle of February. I was assigned to Liberty Elementary School in South Riding. I contacted my cooperating teacher, Shea Goitia, and met with her on 2/14/18. We discussed our expectations and she answered my questions. In addition to planning out our first few dates, I offered to sub in her art room at the end of March for a few days while she would be attending the NAEA Conference. That last snow storm blew those plans away.

The following document was printed, initialed and signed before and after completion. As you can see, I started my observations and interviews the first week or two of March, then spent the last couple weeks of March and first couple weeks of April teaching certain classes under Miss G's supervision. She took notes on my performance which I used to improve upon my following lessons.
