Starting with the plan created by Lucy Solazzo, I created some examples by cutting out cardboard squares. I overlapped two squares to create an eight-sided star template and traced it a few times to form a pattern. Using metallic markers, I colored and outlined the mosaic pattern. I instructed the class to create their own patterns, using pre-cut cardboard shapes. Our final step was to paint glitter glue over the tiles to make them shine.
